Fourth Recap

Last weekend, I headed to the beach for a much needed vacation. After three events in two weeks, I was looking forward to some time away with the family. Here is a recap of my time away.
We spent the week taking lots of long walks both on the road and on the beach.
Mom, Dad, and I took a night off from cooking and went to the Chive Blossom for dinner. I branched out and had the grilled tuna with wasabi slaw, mustard-soy vinaigrette, and crispy noodles. It was one of the best meals I have ever had at a restaurant.
We stayed on the beach for as long as possible. I finally finished reading After You and started another book.
Hurricane Arthur brought bad weather on Thursday but gave me an excuse to spend lots of time in the kitchen.
I made a corn dip, caramel brownies, and guacamole. The corn dip is super easy to make: one bag of frozen corn thawed, a block of cream cheese, and diced jalapenos. Mix together and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
I spent lots of quality time with this cutie. I love her so much.
On Thursday night, my two handsome dates took us to Party on the Moon. Their vintage Lilly pants were a hit.
I love when the five of us are all together.
We danced the night away.
Friday morning, we were up bright and early for the parade. My cousin went all out getting everything ready. The parade has turned into quite the water fight. We were completely drenched by the time we made it back to the house.
It really was a great week away. I hope everyone had a great fourth!
