Current Obsession

I am currently obsessed with the song "Call Me Maybe."

I know, I know... Please don't judge me too harshly. The song is just so catchy. My old coworker and I used to listen to it on repeat and have spontaneous office dance parties. She introduced me to this video:

I cannot stop laughing whenever I watch it. The first guy in the backseat is my favorite.

And then early this week, my sister sent me this:
Hahaha. Who does this guy think he is? I love it!

One Man's Trash...

On Sunday evening, Lucy and I went for a walk to get some fresh air and get out of the house for a little while. We ended up walking near the Georgetown campus and quickly realized that it was move out day judging by the trash piles on the sidewalk. Most of the stuff was junk but we did find this treasure:
An oriental rug
We loaded it up on the Natty Caddy (which was also part of the trash pile) and wheeled it all the way home. We even got a few shout outs walking down M Street from some frat boys about the Natty Caddy.
Where was this for my guy friends in college!?
After much cleaning (which included draping it over our table outside and me standing on a chair to vacuum it), we put our new oriental rug in our front hall.
Not too shabby!
It just goes to show that one man's trash is another man's treasure.

The Legwarmers

On Friday night, Katherine and I ventured out to Falls Church, VA for the Legwarmers Concert. The Legwarmers are the ultimate 80s tribute band according to their website and they did not disappoint. Dressed in our finest 80s attire, we spent the evening dancing up a storm to hits like Take Me Home Tonight, Jesse's Girl, and Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Weekend Recap

On Friday, I hopped in the car and headed to SC for Lightsey's bachlorette. We had the best time hanging out at Lake Murray and it was so nice to be out of the city for a weekend. Friday, everyone trickled in and we enjoyed an evening at the house catching up and celebrating Lightsey. Saturday, we went for a walk and hung out on the dock before Wine and Design Time. We then headed out for dinner and a night on the town. I was so glad I was able to join the festivities. I can't wait until the wedding! Here are just a few pictures, the rest are on Facebook:
