It was nice to be back in the city for the weekend. On Saturday, I spent the day doing laundry and cleaning house before going on a long walk. My new favorite path includes walking the Georgetown Canal and up the Exorcist Stairs before heading back to my house. What are the Exorcist Stairs you might ask? Well, they consist of 75 stairs that are the equivalent of a five story building that connect M Street and Prospect Street. They were also where part of the Exorcist was filmed, hence the name.

Saturday night, we went out to celebrate Sarah's birthday at a mexican restaurant in Arlington.

Sunday, we added to our living room by picking up a love seat from a friend who is moving.

Thanks Jean Cecil! |
Sunday night, Lucy, Jean Cecil, and I walked down to Volta Park for a Concert in the Park sponsored by the Georgetown Citizens Association. Lucy and I came across one of their concerts a few weeks ago when we picked up our
new rug on an evening walk. Apparently, they put these concerts on throughout the summer. We went back this weekend since one of my favorite DC bands, The Morrison Brothers Band, was playing. It was the perfect night to sit outside, sip some wine, and listen to music.
